Question by Aaron: How do I get my power windows and power locks working again?
Within a month of each other, my power locks and power windows went out. I can lock the doors by hand, but the windows are immobile and not closed all the way…which is fine until rainy season/winter snow begins. I’ve checked all the fuses (both under the dash and under the hood) and none are blown. I understand that the next course would be to check the power relays, but I am not sure where these are located, or if it is within my ability to fix. If it is something I can fix myself, I would like to try.
It is a 1996 Honda Civic LX.

Take it to a repair shop and have them fix it.

I need to power two 8 inch polk audio subs. RMS power rating is 180 each. They are DVC 4 ohm subs. I was looking into a two channel amp to power them. If I bridge the 2 channel amp, should the rms power be 360 watts or less at 4 ohm?. I was planning on wiring the subs in a series off of the one amp. Am I correct with the power rating if the amplifier?

Calculate the maximum number of persons, each weighing 80 kg, if the maximum power input to the elevator is 10.8 kW. What power would be required if the escalator has to carry twice the number of people?

Escalators are designed to carry a load slightly higher than the maximum amount of people that can fit on its steps. You would not be able to get “twice as many” people on there, if the steps are already at full capacity. So it is an invalid question.
Anyway, if someone was foolish enough to design and install an elevator that could only move half the weight capacity required, then obviously you would have to double the power (size) of the motor. If that somehow increases the speed (it doesn’t always. Bigger motors most often spin more slowly than smaller ones), then you would also need to re-gear it to the appropriate setting.
Keep in mind, you would be able to double your load capacity with the same motor, if you could settle on traveling 1/2 the speed.

i tried to reset the breaker but that didnt work. any ideas what could be the problem? the last outlet that was giving power just gave in today and i dont know why.

If the receptacles (power outlets) are not controlled by one or more GFI receptacle, then you probably have a loose wire. I would turn the breaker off and remove the last one working. Look to see if it has been burning, or if a wire has come loose.

Inland Power and Light is the company, and I am wondering how many days do they usually wait before shutting power off to the house. All previous bills are paid and there is one bill due on Dec. 5th. When will they shut power off?

For our industry due to shortage of power we have provided generator (now running with generator), machines are operating from the generator power. But we have power quality problem there, we have not installed capacitor bank to improve generator power. Do we have any problem if we add capacitor bank panels to improve generator power.
